This photo is of "Red Hen" as we simply named her. She was the last survivor of the six New Hampshire pullet chicks that started our family's backyard flock. She was 9 years old when she passed away unexpectedly within a week after these photos were taken in the wildflower field behind our house. I'm attaching my favorite shots.
